About Riverside Marina
Located on the Detroit River between Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, the Riverside Marina is southeast Michigan premier marine facility. Riverside Marina, originally Hill Marina, was the visage of Coleman A. Young and Portfield Wilson. Wilson and Young realized there were very few Marinas for African Americans with amenities such as the ones they were building at Riverside. Portfield Wilson had the visage of a Marina village with an apartment complex and world class facilities. This dream was started in the late 80s and continues. Though Portfield Wilson dream is unfinished this dream will be fulfilled, a marina with world class facilities that is available for everyone.
