De Zandkreek has its own marina with 350 berths. Since its foundation in April 1961, the association has a rich history. At the 50th anniversary, a beautiful historical book about the association and its origins was published, written by the former chairman Han Stroo. The marina has capacity for approximately 270 permanent berths. In the port building, there is a water sports shop, the port office and tidy sanitary facilities for yacht owners. At the top of the port building there are 2 spacious apartments. These can be rented for recreational use.
At the marina there is a large outdoor area with 3 sheds. The site and sheds are used for winter storage. Each year, space is offered here for about 270 yachts.

• Our beautiful marina is located in Middelgat, on the Western Scheldt, downstream from Hansweert. This is the former ferry port of the Hoedekenskerke - Terneuzen ferry service, which was converted by members into a small but fully equipped marina.
The marina is the site of Watersportvereniging De Val. • You can moor in the new floating pontoons equipped with light and water and where your boat always remains rafted (+/- 2.0m at low tide). However, there is a sediment threshold in front of the port, so keep in mind that from +/- 3 hours before to 3 hours after low tide, it is not possible to enter or exit. This of course depends on the water levels at the time. •
The port is excellently protected against the strong waves of the busy Westerschelde by a dam made of concrete blocks. •In addition to our waiting room, we have 4 motorhome pitches available with a magnificent view over the Western Scheldt and the marina. Since 1973, the local water sports association, WSVE (Ellewoutsdijk Water Sports Association) has been in charge of operating the original agricultural harbor located in South Beveland. It is maintained by a corps of volunteers/members, supported by a group of two executive board members, four board members and harbor master.
The port is located almost at the southern end of the Zuid Beveland with the mudflats on the eastern side, in which the flora and fauna are protected by Natuurmonumenten.
