About Jackson Park Inner Harbor, the Chicago Harbors
Jackson Park Inner Harbor is located in Jackson Park on the western side of Lake Shore Drive. Due to bridge restrictions the harbor can only accommodate power boaters. Surrounded by green space and steps to 63th Street Beach, the harbor has a small and very friendly community. The Harbor is home to the Southern Shore Yacht Club and has spaces for 150 boats from 30’-40’ in length. Transient docking is available; please call the harbor directly for reservations any time after May 15. Waste pump-out equipment is available on a no-charge basis. There is also a launch ramp on the east side of the harbor with parking for 40 vehicles with trailers. The harbor monitors channels 9 and 16 and the switch to/working channel is 68.
