About The Embankment Marina
Marina Moorings on the Thames at Gravesend The Embankment marina has serviced pontoon berths, lock access to the tidal Thames and an established, friendly community of residential and leisure berth holders. The riverside heritage town centre of Gravesend is a few minutes walk away and has comprehensive shopping with major outlets represented plus a number of independent retailers. The Marina is joined to the town by attractive parklands and the historic Victorian ‘Gravesend Promenade’. Cycle Route 1 and the Saxon Shore Way pass through the Marina site and can be explored on foot or by cycle both east and west. The Embankment Marina is linked to the Thames by a single lock gate. Downstream, Chatham and the historic City of Rochester Upon Medway are 26 miles away by sea. Upstream, Tower Bridge is 23 miles. The Marina and our moorings provide an excellent stop-over or base to explore the Thames en-route to London.
