The Bord du Lac Marina is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Charles, on the southern part of the reclamation buildout. It is a transient facility that offers 38 boat slips equipped with water and electrical utilities. The marina is conveniently located on the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center, which is situated on the beautiful Lake Charles. The Lakefront Promenade provides a scenic walkway for a brisk jog or relaxing stroll. The Civic Center hosts many events throughout the year, including the Contraband Days Pirate Festival, Mardi Gras, and the Marshland Festival, just to name a few. To enter Lake Charles from Calcasieu River, you need to center your boat between markers 122 and 122A. The marina lights are steady red and flashing yellow. Our marina is located in a well-protected cove and is easily identifiable from the ship channel. We offer indoor dry storage for powerboats, ski boats, and other recreational or small commercial boats. Additionally, we have a limited number of wet slips available for our members who require them. Our primary focus is on providing a valet boat launch service that takes all the hassle out of boating. Our store and fuel island are open to the public. To minimize any breakdowns, we inspect your boat before each trip. When you arrive, your boat is ready to go with all the supplies you have requested. Upon returning, simply tie up to a convenient floating dock and be on your way. We rinse your boat and flush out the motor or motors. Your boat batteries are maintained by plugging in your onboard charger inside our warehouse.

Deep-water yacht slips are available in a luxurious and private setting. Our location is prime and we offer luxurious resort amenities and leisure activities that are sure to appeal to every taste. Boaters can dock at our marina and enjoy access to the H2O Pool & Bar. Our marina can accommodate boats up to 206 feet in length and is located adjacent to our private beach. There is typically an 8-foot approach to the location, but the path is somewhat winding. It is important to note that this area is designated as a no wake zone. While the facilities may not be extravagant, they do offer a dock with access to both power and water, as well as a simple shower. Upon our arrival, the staff was able to promptly address an issue with our exhaust and even went into town to obtain the necessary parts. The journey up the bayou was both enjoyable and picturesque.

I recently went to this location to magnet fish off the warf. I noticed the boat launch was still closed from the hurricane. There are only 1 or 2 existing boats there tied up. This is a beautiful place that once was busling with people and boats. Hopefully in the near future they will rebuild.

Marina usually has bait available, but it's best to ask beforehand as they may not have it on Sundays. The fish cleaning area is nice and well-maintained, and most visitors are friendly and considerate. However, there is no water available for washing fishing gear or boats. The boat docks and tie-ups are excellent, and the store and bait shop are clean and well-stocked. Guests can enjoy a free boat launch, which is only a 1/4 mile boat ride away from the shipping channel. The launch area features level concrete for easy boat launching and quick access to deep water. There is ample turning room for boats up to 30ft in length, including trailers.
