Welcome to the Oundle Marina Village website and to the beautiful River Nene. The Marina was created nearly 60 years ago by creating a cut-through from the River Nene and flooding the local gravel pits, and has been managed by the same family for most of that time – Mark Nye is the current manager. This has now grown into a marina with 191 non-residential moorings plus dedicated visitor moorings that can be booked in advance. The whole site covers an area of about 22 acres with over half of that being the marina which means plenty of space for the boats, no overcrowding here! As well as the moorings there is also a well-stocked Chandlery, a gantry that can launch boats up to 62ft long, slipway for launching day boats, diesel & petrol, toilets & laundrette and workshops where we can carry out any boat repairs, boat antifouling/blacking and engine servicing.

It's situated within the heart of Poole Harbour, one of the South Coast's most renowned boating locations. Since our establishment in 2000, Parkstone Bay has grown to be the most beautiful and exclusive of Marinas. A combination of gorgeous facilities and an accommodating staff make Parkstone Bay a warm and inviting haven in which to berth your vessel. Centered within the perfect location of Poole Harbour and boasting a vast range of bespoke berthing options, we invite you to experience the wonders behind our boating community and outstanding facilities. We have over 100 swinging moorings in Parkstone Bay, a sheltered location and the furthest mooring being no further than a 5 minute water taxi ride from the marina. Ideally suitable for vessels up to a 1 metre draft (sail boats with bilge keels and lifting keels are most suited to these moorings). Please be aware that Rope Strops are required for these moorings, strops will need to be made up and fitted in advance of arrival. These moorings come with a complimentary water taxi and for full flexibility a pool of tenders is also provided, which you are free to use at your convenience. ​ Swinging Mooring customers may use the visitor berths for washing and loading, when there is space and at a maximum of 30 minutes. For overnight berths on the pontoons, please book with the marina office in advance and charges do apply. Our moorings are located within a quiet area of Poole harbour, an ideal place to relax on board overlooking the wildlife. Suited for larger vessels with a draft of more than one metre, we offer deep water moorings located in the Wych Channel. Located close to the Harbour Entrance and sheltered by the protection of Brownsea Island, these moorings provide an idyllic view of the island's nature reserve. There is no taxi service to the Wych, but we can accommodate your tender at the marina at a special price. Customers must have an adequate tender to cross the main shipping channel. We also offer all our deep water moorings the Winter Layup Package, more details can be found below. Please be aware that Rope Strops are required for these moorings, strops will need to be made up and fitted in advance of arrival.

The newly installed Pontoon by Inland & Coastal provides a safe point of mooring and is fully serviced including electronic gate entry. The Port is fully covered by up to date CCTV and ANPR security system.

One of the most beautiful locations in the south-west. The Harbour reaches from the sea all the way up to Kingsbridge and its high water quality and peaceful surroundings are enjoyed by a number of water users: bathers, canoeists, stand-up paddleboards, dinghies, yawls, yachts, power boats and super yachts - either individually or as part of one of the many colourful and exhilarating competitive regattas. The Harbour can be extremely busy, particularly in the high season, so please navigate with care and consideration, adhere to the speed limits (6 or 8 knots), minimise wake, wear life jackets, and connect a kill cord to yourself when helming a vessel with an outboard engine. Anderton Marina is one of the most northerly of our English bases with access to Cheshire, the remote and beautiful Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the Trent and Mersey. A local feature nearby is one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterway, the Anderton Boat Lift, and there is an on-site licensed restaurant, The Moorings. Anderton Marina is located in the North West of England and it is ideal for cruising the Trent & Mersey and The Cheshire Ring.

We offer secure, quality long term moorings on the picturesque Leeds & Liverpool Canal between Leeds and Bingley. Apperley Bridge Marina is well placed for access to rail and road links and even air transport (Leeds Bradford airport is only 15 minutes away) and is within easy walking distance of the local supermarkets, banks and other essential services. The marina is located adjacent to Aston Lock, just south of Stone on the Trent & Mersey Canal, offering the perfect central location from which to cruise. The bustling market town of Stone – with its excellent shops & restaurants, and great country pubs – is just a short walk away. Aston Marina has 200 berths available for long term and temporary moorings, each with metered 16amp electricity, water and card access security gates. The twin basins are over 2.5 meters deep and generously wide – allowing easy manoeuvrability. The unique feature of an entrance and exit negates winding within the marina and further enhances the ease of navigation, as well as encouraging a natural throughput of fresh water. Amenities are provided through a luxury block, with showers and toilets, Elsan disposal & laundry. Pump-out and diesel are located either side of our iconic miniature Iron bridge, and a card access barrier provides controlled access to ample secure parking for moorers. The marina office is located in the middle of the site where convenient supplies of coal, gas & logs are available, as well as a book swap library, maps and information on the surrounding area & attractions. We also offer a next day ironing service. Trent Valley Marine Ltd operate a fully equipped workshop, including launch & recovery available via our slipway and unique boat lift trailer – we believe we are the only marina in the country with the capability to slip up to a 72ft craft. Upon its completion the main building will be situated on two levels with the upper level accommodating a comfortable restaurant / lounge bar overlooking the whole marina. The rest of the building will open on to the quayside where showers, toilets, launderette and a café will be sited. Next to this will be the chandlery/general store where you can get anything from bread, milk and morning papers to engine oil and rope. We will also have two small retail units available for franchise for use as a gift shop or craft workshop, contact us for details. Also, along the quayside is the service dock with diesel, gas, wood, waste disposal / recycling, pump out and sluice facilities which are all currently available for use. Across the marina from the quay will be the workshop maintenance area with facilities to do most jobs from an oil change to boat lift out and blacking.

The haven at Barrow is situated on the south side of the Humber, accommodates coastal shipping and is rather remote from any shopping facilities, but will provide refuge in an emergency.

We are a family run marina with moorings for cruisers, narrowboats and widebeam boats. There is plenty of parking on site and CCTV in operation for security. Boat services include servicing and repairs, brokerage, slipway, hard standing, boat sales and Canal and River Trust licence sales and facilities keys. There is a regular bus service to Coningsby, Boston and Lincoln and a Public House serving food neighbours the Marina.

Full service marina. Berthon offer a comprehensive range of services for customers moored at Lymington Marina. Ideally located on the Solent, with easy access to the full racing and cruising grounds of the UK – as well as being a short hop from the English Channel and Europe – Lymington is easily accessible by rail, road and water. Welcome to Birdham Pool Marina Located six miles inside the entrance to Chichester Harbour, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Birdham is a sheltered, locked marina of 290 berths. You'll be charmed by its unique character and wonderful blend of old and new. With the Old Mill building still standing next to the Lock, the ‘Pool’ still retains its original fascination as one of the last working tidal mill pools in Sussex. It is quaint and beautiful, yet provides modern facilities, a fully equipped boatyard and onsite marine tenants. The lock operates at free flow at the top of the tide. Selection of Berths A mix of pontoon berths for larger boats of up to 14.5 metres as well as pile berths and bow or stern to berths. Blackleach Lane Marina is a minor waterways place on the Lancaster Canal (Main Line) between Ribble Link - Lancaster Canal Junction (5 miles and 2¾ furlongs to the southeast) and Lodge Hill Junction (Junction with Lancaster Canal - Glasson Dock Branch) (17 miles and 2 furlongs to the north). The nearest place in the direction of Ribble Link - Lancaster Canal Junction is Roots Bridge No 30; 2¾ furlongs away. The nearest place in the direction of Lodge Hill Junction is Stone Chimneys Bridge No 31; 1¼ furlongs away. Mooring here is ok (a perfectly adequate mooring). Moorings have no facilities.. Facilities: water point.

We are a Narrowboat and River Cruiser Marina situated on Station Road Ringstead Northamptonshire, and have 130 slips around our beautiful lake. Blackthorn Lake Marina was constructed with the view in mind that customers not only want the quiet relaxation of living at Blackthorn but also wanted the ability to be able to work on their boats with ease.

Blackwater Marina lies on the UK’s east coast in a natural, sheltered harbour between the historic maritime towns of Maldon and Burnham on Crouch. The Continent is a day’s sail away, and London an hour by car or train. The marina has fully serviced pontoon berths for 196 vessels and hardstanding for another 150. In addition, its 100 swinging moorings can offer access at all states of the tide to the region’s best cruising waters and some of the UK’s rarest wildlife. The marina has a rich heritage and today is home to an enviable diversity of craft – from Thames Barges and fishing smacks to racing yachts and modern motor cruisers. The extensive shoreside facilities are also decidedly modern, but one thing hasn’t changed over the years – the good old-fashioned Blackwater welcome. Blackwater Marina is a place where families in day boats mix with Smack owners and yacht crews. Where seals, avocets and porpoises roam beneath the big, sheltering East Coast skies. And where the area’s rich heritage of working Thames Barges and Smacks remains very much part of daily life today. You’ll usually find a Thames Barge or two at Blackwater Marina, either being refitted in our dry dock or moored alongside the pontoon between charter trips. And Smacks? Several. Blackwater Marina is home to Martha II and the IDA But it isn’t just classic sailing boats that thrive on the Blackwater. An eclectic mix of motor cruisers, open boats and modern yachts enjoy the advantages of a marina sheltered by its natural habitat, where the absence of harbour walls allows uninterrupted views of some of Britain’s rarest wildlife. And where the 21st century shoreside facilities are looked after by experienced professionals, who are often found sailing on their days off. Blackwater Marina is within easy striking distance of London, a point which wasn’t lost on the Vikings when they chose a little island three miles up the coast as the starting point for an invasion on the capital. They were repelled, in a bloody and heroic battle, by local forces fired by their passion for their home territory. The Blackwater can get you like that. Today, strangers arriving in boats are guaranteed a rather more friendly welcome by the people from the Blackwater. Did we say ‘strangers’? No, that isn’t strictly true. At our marina, there are no strangers; merely people we haven’t met yet.

Located on the River Ure, Boroughbridge Marina is home to some 85 Cruisers and Narrowboats. A wide range of facilities are offered to all berth-holders including Electric and Water to all berths, a modern shower & toilet block and a laundrette. Our facilites are constantly improving and our waiting list ever-expanding! We are able to provide a full range of services for looking after your boat.

Welcome to Bradwell Marina, situated on the picturesque Blackwater Estuary. Ideally situated for exploring the river and other east coast estuaries, good access to Holland, Belgium and beyond. Bradwell Marina is accessible at most states of the tide to all but the deepest draft boats. We have over 350 berths with room for 50 visitors. Visitors Information Visiting yachts are welcome, and on arrival should berth at the visitors berth marked by a notice board at the end of "A" pontoon. From there they will be directed to a suitable berth by Marina staff. Bradwell Marina is situated at Bradwell Waterside, on the south shore of the Blackwater River. It is ideally placed for the east coast sailor, with the Blackwater Estuary "on the doorstep", and within easy reach of the other Essex rivers. It is also well placed for cruising to the French, Dutch and Belgium coasts. Road access from London is by the A127 trunk road as far as Wickford, and thence by the B1012 through Latchingdon, Mayland and Steeple. The yacht basin itself is admirably sheltered, as it was excavated behind the sea wall and is therefore completely enclosed. The only exception is the entrance channel which was cut through the sea wall. There is no lock and the marina is accessible at all states of the tide for shallow draft craft. Deeper draft vessels must exercise caution at low water especially during spring tides, as the navigable channel in Bradwell Creek becomes shallow. The marina basin and entrance were excavated to give a minimum depth of 6-8 ft.at low water springs. Diesel and unleaded petrol at the fuel pier. Braunston Marina is ideally located for the canal enthusiast. It lies at the crossroads of the Grand Union and Oxford canals, and indeed of the whole waterways. The opportunities for exploration are near limitless. The Marina itself is easily located by road, lying beside the A45 between Daventry and Rugby. It is only 20 minutes from junction 16 on the M1, under an hour from Birmingham, and two hours from London. Braunston Marina is steeped in history. It was originally developed at the turn of the 19th century as the waterways depot at the northern end of what was then called the Grand Junction Canal, where it joined up with the Oxford Canal. Several original buildings from the Georgian and early Victorian periods are still in their intended use. The Marina’s entrance is dominated by the very fine Horsley Iron Works cast iron bridge dating from 1834, erected by Thomas Telford. Today, Braunston Marina is a major centre for leisure craft and narrow boats, with modern mooring facilities for 250 boats. a large, busy brokerage selling all types of new and used steel narrowboats. We have dry and wet docks, craneage pad and a service area capable of most repairs. A number of other boat businesses operate within the marina. We even have a small touring caravan site. Our event highlight is our annual Historic Boat Rally, held over the last weekend in June, with upwards of 80 old working boats joining the grand parade, many of which are on the national Historic Boat Register. Other attractions include side shows, live music, Morris dancing, trade exhibitors and craft displays, beer tent and, sometimes, even tunnel legging. A great weekend or day out for the whole family. Bray Marina, in its country park setting, provides berth holders with a delightfully tranquil mooring. The 400-berth marina has an active boating club as well as boat training lessons and handling competitions, a small chandlery, engineering services, brokerage and fuel. Mediterranevm, a brand new Mediterranean dining experience at the marina. And just a short walk into Bray itself, there are now three Heston Blumenthal restaurants: The Fat Duck, The Crown at Bray, and The Hind's Head Boatyard facilities On-site boatyard services at Bray Marina are delivered by Bray Craning Ltd, who carry out lifting, antifouling and polishing. Out and about There are many attractions nearby. Upstream is the National Trust property, Cliveden House, with its extensive gardens and woodlands. Cookham is home of the Queen's Swan Keeper, who can sometimes be seen in his traditional costume. Further on still is Hambledon Mill – and from here, the river is navigable as far as Lechlade. Downstream lie the historic towns and villages of Windsor, Eton, Datchet and Runnymede. And if you use Penton Hook as a stop-off overnight, Central London comes within cruising reach. Brayford Trust & Lincoln Marina There are a number of visitor moorings in Lincoln city centre, for cruisers and narrow-boats, including the Brayford Pool, the Fossdyke and the River Witham. Moorings There are now over 130 long term moorings in the Pool with a further 14 designated exclusively for visiting boaters The moorings are all floating pontoon berths with fresh water and electricity available to each. These berths are located on the south bank of the Pool with the cruiser moorings in the south-west corner and the narrowboats towards the eastern end.

Bredon Marina is an independent boatyard run by Steve Hanlon. It’s the last marina on the River Avon before it reaches Tewkesbury, where the navigation joins the River Severn. From here you are at the heart of the inland waterway network; perfectly placed to explore the rivers and canals of the Midlands and South West. There are 80 moorings of various sizes to cater for cruisers, sail boats and narrow boats, all placed in picturesque, rural surroundings. Moorings for 2015 are available now. From the onsite office, Steve can keep an eye on all the boats, respond quickly when the river levels change and can assist boaters and visitors as necessary. BRENTFORD DOCK MARINA Brentford Dock Marina is situated on the tidal River Thames at the mouth of the Grand Union Canal between Kew Bridge and Isleworth in the southern part of Brentford, Middlesex. Once a working dock, today it is one of London’s undiscovered treasures. The Marina is uniquely located for boat owners in West London looking for leisure mooring on the Thames, with access to the Canal network as well as the upper reaches of the non-tidal Thames, giving the best of all worlds. The Marina is connected to Lancaster Canal is which was constructed in 1819 and in its current form is lock-free for 42 miles with perfectly located towns and villages sprinkled along its banks. The Lancaster canal has also relatively recently been connected to the rest of the main canal systems in England via the introduction of the Ribble link, with construction being finished in 2002. Brightlingsea Harbour is a small mixed leisure and commercial port with a rich heritage, situated in Brightlingsea Creek close to the mouth of the Colne Estuary where it meets the Blackwater and Thames Estuaries. The Harbour is within a nature conservation area of international importance. The River Colne is navigable on the tide for 7 miles to Colchester in Essex and the River Blackwater is navigable for 11 miles to Maldon. Brightlingsea is a day sail from most ports on the Thames Estuary. Brightlingsea Harbour is a Trust Port managed by Brightlingsea Harbour Commissioners. The Harbour Master leads a dedicated team of permanent and seasonal staff who oversee the day to day activities within the Harbour.

Brighton Marina centres on the busy yacht harbour, where sailboats moor at the quay. It’s a chic shopping hub with fashion boutiques, galleries, and craft shops, plus casual eateries with terraces overlooking the water. Volk’s Electric Railway, opened in 1883, shuttles between the marina and Brighton Pier. Charter boats offer fishing and diving trips, and the Brighton Walk of Fame honours stars with local links. Now it its brand new, state of the art floating club house, Brighton Marina Yacht Club continues to be a friendly place for cruisers and racers. Experienced sailors can race on a Sunday morning through the year, and several times a year the club offers its "Club class" programme to give novices an introduction to racing on Saturday mornings. The marina was built on a green field site in 2005 and its acquisition means there are now 11 marinas in the Group. The addition of Brinklow brings the Castle inventory to 2600 berths, making it the country’s largest privately-owned group and yet its mission of being ‘big enough to cope and small enough to care’ means each marina develops and retains its own identity and quirks, an approach which has led to great customer loyalty. Welcome to Bristol Marina Bristol Marina is Bristol's only fully serviced marina. Operating since 1980, the Marina is situated on the south side of the Floating Harbour and is bounded by The Baltic Wharf housing development and the SS Great Britain. Bristol Marina is accessible from the sea and from the inland waterways using the Kennet and River Avon navigation, indeed it is possible to navigate from London to Bristol using the Kennet and Avon.

Brixham Harbour is located on the southern side of Tor Bay and boasts one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK, plus a thriving fish market to support it. Over 100 fishing boats land and sell their catch at the local fish market on the quayside. A visitor viewing platform is strategically placed so visitors can watch the busy comings and goings of the fishing fleet, made up of large beam trawlers and the smaller day boats. The town caters for visitors on its municipal harbour pontoon, in its extensive marina. It is also possible to anchor off outside the harbour albeit which is more exposed. The shape of the bay protects the harbour from most sectors, and the large breakwater from easterly conditions so that it offers complete protection from all conditions. It is however slightly exposed to refracted swell waves and wind waves from the north round to northwest that makes it less comfortable. Safe access is available in all reasonable conditions, day or night and at all stages of the tide.

Idyllically situated on Oulton Broad, Broadland Marina faces onto Oulton Broad between Suffolk’s stunning coastline and the world famous Broads National Park. Close to the UK’s most easterly town of Lowestoft, with easy access to the sea via Mutford Lock, or direct access to the Norfolk Broads. Cruising routes on the Broads are numerous and include Tingdene’s Brundall Bay Marina. Sea-going craft can make coastal trips to Southwold, Aldeburgh, and further afield. Travelling up the coast to Great Yarmouth offers a circular trip back to Broadlands Marina via the Yare and Waveney rivers.

Situated on the beautiful Norfolk Broads, Brundall Bay Marina is the largest and best equipped marina on the Broads, with moorings for over 300 boats, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Brundall Gardens Marina is a family owned and operated marina located on the River Yare to the west of Brundall and just two miles to the east of Norwich, with easy access via car or rail and ample car parking. The marina has recently undergone a complete transformation providing berths suitable for boats up to 65ft with more berths on the way. BGM is in a quiet location away from the main marinas in Brundall. Set in wet woodland, it is an idyllic smugglers cove, perfect for peace and relaxation. Burton Waters Marina in Lincoln is a wonderfully unique marina development set in the midst of beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, adjacent to the Fossdyke Navigation Canal, and just two miles by water from the center of the historic City of Lincoln. There are fifteen acres of water space here, with easy access to the sea through Boston and the inland waterways system via the Trent. The utter joy of Burton Waters Marina is the variety of services all in one place. There’s a slipway available for assisted or self-launch, a hoist able to handle cruisers up to 40 ft, and narrow boats up to 60 ft. Nice place for some food with live music on some nights. Very relaxing place to visit near the boats. Casual atmosphere. Had the steak there was cooked to order and tasted good. Renting a boat out here is an ideal excursion for a group of friends or family. £150 for 3hrs, £175 for 4. They show you the ropes and you can take the boats on your own without further instructions after 15mins. you have a mobile telephone number to reach them anytime you need. Routes around Poole harbour are provided. We took the boat to Shellbay on studland and dropped some fishing lines for makerel. A really good day out.

CYC currently has 28 riverbed fore and aft chain based moorings available for use with capacity to extend as required. Most moorings are drying moorings with a few maintaining a draft of approximately 1.2m at low water springs. Due to the type and configuration of the moorings available there is a maximum boat length of 30 feet for monohulls; but there are larger multihulls in residence on the river, and most monohulls are typically bilge keel type. There is capacity available for motor boats under 24 feet in length depending upon weight.

Located on Dartmouth's South Embankment, we have a fine clubhouse with spectacular views of the river and its mouth. Together with our bar and dining facilities, we have an extensive fleet of small boats / kayaks for the use of members. FACILITIES FOR VISITORS Dartmouth Yacht Club welcomes members, visiting boat owners, guests, families and dogs on leads to our Clubhouse, on the South Embankment, with its panoramic views of the busy working harbour. Facilities include hot showers, free wireless internet connection, on-line weather forecasts, hot and cold food most lunchtimes and evenings throughout the season and a warm and friendly greeting is always assured at our bar. Our Gun Room is also available for private function hire. The Dartmouth Yacht Club is accessible at all states of the tide.

We popped in to view a couple of boats and both the marina staff and the sales office staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were allowed to use the marina toilets, which were really nice and clean; each cubicle has a shower, sink and toilet. There was also a nice looking cafe with people sat outside and, of course, having the chandlery on site must be a big plus point for boat owners. Altogether, a very positive experience!

We have lock gates above and below our moorings and so the level of water is controlled to a considerable degree. There is still some rise and fall depending on the water levels but nowhere near the variation that would occur if we were actually on the river. We accommodate around 130 boats on individually allocated moorings most of which are stagings projecting into the waterway. The moorings stretch for about one third of a mile along the bank of the canal and go back about 80 yards. They are fully grassed and a tarmac road runs the whole length of the moorings.

Goole Boathouse is a marina established in 1993 and located in a basin beside the Aire and Calder Canal close to the commercial port of Goole. Mooring is to modern floating pontoons which can only be approached by a security gate, making Goole Boathouse one of the safest places to keep a boat in Yorkshire. There are 150 moorings of various lengths giving suitable berths for motor cruisers, fishing vessels, yachts and narrowboats. The marina has a slipway, where boats can be hauled out of the water, and a dry dock suitable for larger vessels. Also, there is a well stocked chandlery for marine items. Diesel, bottled gas and coal are stocked. The marina provides a convenient base for cruising the waterways of Yorkshire, as well as giving easy access to the Humber Estuary.

The mooring facilities at Ha’penny pier will be open from Monday 28 March to 31 October 2022. Visiting leisure vessels up to 20 metres length overall (LOA) can use the facilities at Ha’penny pier pontoons for a maximum stay of 72 hours. Moorings cannot be booked in advance as we operate on a first come first served basis. Be advised that vessels may be double or triple berthed if the mooring facility is busy and prevailing conditions are suitable. As shown on the diagram above, the outside berths are prioritised for larger vessels and the inside berths are predominately for smaller crafts. Leisure vessels must not moor in the harbour ferry or unloading areas, which are clearly marked on the map. Ha’penny Pier is manned by a pier master between the hours of 0800 and 1100 and 1300 and 1800 (including weekends and bank holidays). Overseas visitors wishing to use the facilities on Ha’penny Pier should follow the advice issued by the UK Government before travelling. Hermitage Community Moorings is situated at Hermitage Wharf, which is located at the entrance to the former London Docks, 600 metres downstream from Tower Bridge on the north bank. The nearest stations are Tower Hill (Tube)—a 13 min walk, and Wapping High Street (Overground)—a 10 min walk. Walk down Wapping High Street – the entrance to number 16 is set back from the road, up some steps (next to Smiths restaurant), at the east side of the memorial gardens, down a narrow bridge where there is an entrance gate with buzzer. Hermitage Community Moorings (HCM) is a co-operative which built, owns, and operates a mooring on the Thames in Wapping, next to the Memorial Gardens that overlook the river at what used to be known as Hermitage Wharf. The mooring provides berths for up to 23 vessels: enabling a mixture of long term residential live-aboard use and short term visitor boat use. HCM provides well-managed river access for local people, including educational and recreational facilities. HCM was created by a small, dedicated community over the course of about 6 years and is the first development of its kind on the Thames for more than a generation. The co-operative members entirely self-funded the planning, design, management, construction, installation, and operation of the moorings. The infrastructure is designed to create a small, close-knit community of people committed to boat use and the preservation of historic craft. Part of its ambition is to ensure traditional river craft (e.g. sailing barges, tugs and motor craft) remain part of the Wapping landscape for future generations – and to create a local landmark that promotes Wapping’s historic links with the river. Moorings This Sandwich marina boasts a wonderful position in the heart of medieval Sandwich. The club uses VHF channel 37 (M1), however this is generally only monitored when races are in progress. Humber VTS should also be monitored on channel 15 whilst above the Humber Bridge. Brough Clubhouse: 01482 667224 Winteringham Clubhouse: 01724 733458 The Brough base of Humber Yawl Club is situated on the north bank of the Humber, adjacent to the British Aerospace factory. Entry is possible approximately 2 hours either side of high water, depending on tidal conditions and the draft of vessels. Initial approach is made to the white outer mark at approximate position 053d43.4'N, 000d35.05'W (053d43'24"N, 000d35'03"W). Be aware of a strong tidal set and then proceed via leading marks into the creek. Pontoon moorings are situated to starboard. Visiting craft may moor adjacent to the mast hoist in the first instance. Fore and aft moorings with stern lines may be vacant, but visitors should make inquiries before use. Brough has a good range of pubs, restaurants, take-aways, shops, a filling station, and railway station with frequent national services.

Winteringham Haven is situated on the south bank of the Humber, approximately 1.5 miles due south of the HYC base at Brough. Visitors are advised to contact the Winteringham Club House for up-to-date advice on the amount of water available at particular states of the tide. The buoy which marks the entrance to the creek is at approximately 053d42.05'N, 000d34.86'W (053d42'03"N, 000d34'51"W). From the outer mark the channel into Winteringham Haven is marked by a series of red and green cans and can be quite shallow even at Spring tides. The creek is sinuous and bordered by reed beds. Deeper water exists on the outer edges of the bends. Fore and aft pontoon moorings in the haven are on the starboard hand. Electricity and water points are available. The clubhouse, toilet and shower facilities are situated towards the head of the creek. The village of Winteringham is a ten-minute walk from the club where there is a pub, a restaurant, a post office and several small shops.

There is storage ashore for over 120 boats and a slipway with ample space for trailer and car storage. Both petrol and diesel are available at cost to Freedom Berthing members. Out and about The marina entrance is controlled by lock gates, operated 24 hours a day throughout the year, and there is easy access to Southampton Water and several of our other marinas situated in and around the Solent. Cruising enthusiasts can explore the Beaulieu River to the west or continue on to the bustling town of Lymington, close to the New Forest. Heading east takes you to Portsmouth, steeped in naval history, and there are numerous anchorages to explore within the sheltered waters of Chichester Harbour. It's easy to pop across to our other marina at Ocean Village, in the centre of Southampton, for dinner or to visit the cinema there. In addition, a regular ferry service runs from Hythe right into the centre of Southampton.

Ilfracombe has several visitors moorings outside the main harbour. The town has everything you would need to stock up, shops, petrol station cafes etc. Unfortunately there is no Chandlery in town. Approaching and leaving the Harbour Ilfracombe has a large tidal range of between 3m (neaps) and 10m (springs). Therefore, there are strong tidal streams in the approaches, which at times can reach 2-3 knots. Care should be taken near the Buggy Pit where there is often a tidal rip. Buggy Pit is marked on Admiralty Chart 1160 and is approximately 3 cables NNE of Beacon Point. Leading lights (Occ W 10s) have been established to the South of the Harbour and mark the clearway approach into the Outer Harbour. These leading lights together with 3 sets of 2FG (vert) which mark the Outer Pier (North and South) and the Old Quay Head (South) clearly identify the harbour approach. From further to sea the Fl. G. (2) 5sec light atop Lantern Hill guides mariners to the Harbour. On approaching the harbour, care must be exercised to avoid a number of unlit shellfish store pots approximately 1 cable to the south east of the Pier. Before entering the harbour, all vessels should contact the Harbour Authority, call sign 'Ilfracombe Harbour' to ensure that visitors berths can be allocated. The Harbour Office maintains a listening watch on VHF channels 16 and 12, the harbour working channels are 12 and 14. This is not manned 24 hours. During silent hours proceed to a suitable berth - see mooring and anchorage information. The speed limit in the Harbour Authority area is 4 knots, and vessels are requested to avoid excessive wash.

Ilfracombe Yacht Club was formed in 1962 to promote sailing and motor cruising in the Bristol Channel. The original club members met in the skittle ally of the Pier Hotel, and then only in the summer. In 1972, they moved into part of the old Seaman’s Bethel and the club as we know it was born. The success of our club is a legacy to all our members — past, present, and future. The Club sits within a unique environment with stunning views across the Bristol Channel and is justly proud of its reputation within the Bristol Channel Yachting Conference as one of the most friendly in the Bristol Channel. Chiswick Quay Chiswick Quay is a small estate of 68 town houses surrounding a marina on the river Thames. Every house overlooks either the marina or the river. The roads on the estate, Chiswick Quay and Ibis Lane, are cul-de-sacs off Hartington Road. Living on Chiswick Quay or Ibis Lane, getting up in the morning to have breakfast on the terrace, looking out over the marina or the Thames is like being on holiday in the Mediterranean. This is probably one of the most attractive places to live in London. Chiswick, on the north bank of the Thames, is a fashionable area with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. It was developed after the opening of the main-line railway from Waterloo and the District line in the mid nineteenth century. Most of the properties in Chiswick are Victorian or Edwardian, and range from small artisan cottages to the large Norman Shaw houses in Bedford Park. However for those looking for contemporary space the choice is limited, and Chiswick Quay design meets that need well. The marina is just upstream of Chiswick Bridge (A316), on the tidal section of the Thames with access via a lock, operational up to two hours either side of high tide.

The pontoon also provides access to the passenger ferry and space should be left to allow the ferry to moor onto the pontoon. Hallingbury Marina provides moorings for narrowboats and river cruisers, in beautiful settings on the River Stort on the Essex & Hertfordshire border. Family-run for over 50 years, Hallingbury Marina also provides many services including, water, fuels, pump-out, cassette emptying, chandlery and dry docking. Little Hallingbury Mill, built in 1874, is a Grade II Star listed watermill and stands to the south end of the marina; its mill race provides the moorings comprising Hallingbury Marina. ilford Marina is a family run business that offers long and short term moorings in a beautiful rural setting. The Marina sits on the banks of the River Nene, approximate halfway between Northampton and Peterborough and near the picturesque market town of Oundle. We offer tranquil, secure moorings for narrow boats and cruisers and have currently moorings for up to 34 boats and will eventually expand to provide moorings for up to 100. On the water, you are connected to the River Lee via the Limehouse Cut, the Regents Canal, and the River Thames via a tidal lock which operates 2 hours either side of low water. Limehouse Waterside & Marina is open 9am to 5pm daily, and 9am until 6pm on Thursday.

Very shallow at low tide. Ran aground at night in the entrance to the harbour easy escape but just to note for bigger vessels to only approach at high water. Very tidal river plan before entry. Littlehampton Harbour is located at the mouth of the River Arun on the south coast between Chichester and Worthing. The visitors pontoon is another 500m ahead on the east bank below the Harbour Office, the prominent white building north of the first line of pontoons on the east side. Brief harbour closures occur a few times each month (at high water on spring tides) for the arrival or departure of large vessels. There is no Wi-Fi but if you need a weather forecast or internet access in emergencies, feel free to visit us in the office. The minimum water depth at spring low tide alongside the visitor’s pontoon is 2.2 metres except for the northern 3x pontoon sections where yachts of greater than 2m draft should avoid. Please note that the harbour entrance bar’s impounding effect plus the river’s drainage means the height of tide almost never falls below 0.9m above datum (whatever the forecasted height of tide at LW). Vessels over 2.3m draft can be accommodated but should be with the advice of the Harbour Master and will likely need to be rafted so they sit further into the channel in deeper water.

The Park is situated in the small village of Dogdyke which boasts its own Marina with boat moorings, fishing, a restaurant and a friendly public house. The nearby village of Coningsby has a host of amenities for day to day needs from a bank to a hardware store and is within an easy distance of the Hamlet of Dogdyke.

The large village of Barrow-upon-Soar is to the south of Loughborough and sits alongside the River Soar. There are plenty of amenities located here close to our site including a Co-op and other local shops. For those who enjoy food and drink, there are several popular bars and pubs to pick from including The Moorings, The Navigation Inn and The Three Crowns. The town of Quorn is also across the river with more facilities.

Lovely location and outlook, and brilliant facilities. Marina staff are always helpful and friendly. Restaurant is expensive but I guess that goes with the territory and stunning views! Great marina, quiet. With the new restaurant/bar from the Gaff Rigger it is a great venue to go to. The sailing schools of Capstan Sailing and Hamble School of Yachting are top notch too. Nice and peaceful marina not too large. Small but well stocked chandlery plus secure storage compound for RIBS and trailers as well as sail sheds Waters edge Restaurant is not great though.

Middle Nene Cruising Club is based at Titchmarsh Mill on the River Nene in Northamptonshire. We are a private members club and not a marina. Security The marina features a pin-code secure gate entry and is also covered by a state of the art, Police enabled, 24hr CCTV system. Access to the marina is by the central security gate and a security code is provided to visiting vessels ensuring that only those using the marina can gain access to the pontoons. NE1 Street Rangers patrol the marina at regular intervals between 8am & 8pm and have a direct radio link to the city centre Police. Electricity & Water Electricty and water connection is included in the cost of berthing. Water: Fresh water is available on all pontoons via the utility hubs, using a standard hose union connector. Please note that we do not provide hoses, you will need to use your own. Electricity: A 16 amp 230 volt supply is available as standard on the pontoons. Only approved waterproof sockets and cables may be used.

A working port and fishing harbour but a friendly spot for a private mooring too. Harbour is a useful stopover and accessible at all states of tide with no lock. Reasonable and clean facilities despite their ageing appearance. Nice beaches for dog walking. Town centre a bit light but local Sainsburys superstore in retail park area is good for most needs anyway. Well worth a visit if you prefer a quieter spot than Brighton.

Dries at low tide Cornwall is famous for its stunning coastline and we as the Maritime Section of Cornwall Council are lucky to be able to manage and maintain many of its ports, harbours and maritime assets. In addition, we are also responsible for a number of other maritime functions, such as licensing of boats and boatmen, bylaw enforcement and water safety whilst complying with international and national legislation from anything to do with port marine safety to marine environment issues. Newtown Creek and its associated branches forms a peaceful haven for nature, and a useful anchorage for yachtsmen and motorboaters. Newtown River is approached via a narrow channel leading through shingle banks. Entry for most boats is only possible with a suitable rise of tide, but once within deeper water will be found. Options are either to find a vacant visitors mooring buoy, or to anchor Nature reserve, no facilities really, National Trust will collect a visitors mooring fee on their buoys but anchorage areas also available . Good midday stop or overnight. Row ashore via Shalfleet Quay and walk to the New Inn pub

The small pool is a delightful mooring, mainly occupied with cabin cruisers and some narrowboats. Each mooring has a fixed jetty and craft tend to use rising cleats to ensure boats rise and fall during higher water in the winter months.

Excellent customer service/reception staff. Showers and toilets spotless. Decent sized well run marina. Mix of sail and motor. Very handy for road access from A27 and marina accessible at low tide. Premier Marinas berth holders have exclusive access to eight cubicles at Noss on Dart Marina. Each cubicle is self-contained and includes either a bath/shower, toilet and basin. These are not reflective of Premier’s usual high standard facilities and, as part of the regeneration of the South Coast marina, they will be replaced. Noss on Dart has a 24-hour on-site launderette located to the side of the main bridgehead. There are coin operated washing machines plus an iron and ironing board available. Best berthing protection in Plymouth, with minimal swell. There is deepwater throughout your approach to Plymouth Yacht Haven. After rounding the Mount Batten breakwater and heading east on the Cattewater channel, you will see Plymouth Yacht Haven on your starboard side. The outer most pontoon (P pontoon) wraps around the outer edge of the marina, so to access to the inner pontoons, continue to the eastern end of the Yacht Haven and turn to starboard when you reach the 'dolphin' (there are clear signs as you approach).

Always a lovely stay on poole quay, with power and water readily available and friendly staff facilities such as showers and bathrooms are pleasant and clean. This is a must visit on a Tuesday evening as its bike night,and there are hundreds of machines to see and admire here. There are food outlets and public houses to tempt you in with a great atmosphere on the quayside. The most professionally run marina on the South Coast by a crew with maturity and understanding beyond their years. A delight to visit for any yachtsman, its like a breath of fresh air, well done.

Very impressive marina. Booked with new life 2 and had a brilliant time. Was great to have a shower after the yacht trip. Excellent. Huge. Plenty of space for visitors PLUS the boat we were chartering were from a sister marina so ZERO berthing cost (MDL Freedom Berthing)!. Now that is a deal! It is a short hike into the centre of Hamble where there are a handful of pubs in this beautiful English village. I'm sure they're all good but we ate at the Bugle.

The Port of Truro is 2,500 acres in size and has a significant number of leisure moorings together with visitor’s pontoons and quays. The entire Fal estuary holds approximately 4,500 moorings, 1500 of which are located within the port of Truro. The port also has a long history of commercial activity and current operations are focussed at Lighterage Quay, Newham. The quay currently handles general bulk cargoes, primarily scrap and a ship recycling facility has been established. In addition, there are a number of deep water lay-up berths for large vessels situated in the River Fal, near King Harry Ferry. These moorings can accommodate vessels up to 190m lengths overall.

Portishead Cruising Club is an RYA affiliated sailing club for racing/cruising yachts, with a clubhouse overlooking the River Avon at Pill, North Somerset, The Club owns and operates over 40 drying trot moorings locally and a fully serviced Marina including haulout, storage and boat repair facilities is located at nearby Portishead. Atmosphere within the club is friendly and informal, with membership made up of families, couples and individuals. Interests range from “Cruise in Company” weekends to racing to blue water cruising. There’s also an extensive social itinerary, with club nights, parties and talks held throughout the year. We welcome new members, whether boat owners or crew/social members, so come along on any club night (wednesdays, from 8:30pm) to meet us.

Chesil Beach protects us, all 18 miles of it Portland Port is home to the second-largest artificial port in the world. It is situated on important marine trade routes, 20 nautical miles north of the westerly shipping lanes, and offers quick, secure access around the clock. Because of its unusual location in the English Channel, Portland Port enjoys excellent protection from the predominant south-westerly winds. Reaching any of the berths by pilotage only takes thirty minutes, and they are reachable at any tide. This makes Portland a great option for a South Coast port where damage or reclassification surveys may be conducted and where users can avail themselves of a wide range of services and amenities. There are no air draft, beam, tides, or locks limiting access. There are depths of up to 20 meters (C.D.) in the Outer Harbour and up to 15 meters (C.D.) in the Inner Harbour. The amenities and security Portland Harbor provides to ships in its secure and sheltered waters are unmatched. With the Royal Navy's 1996 departure, Portland has grown into a bustling port with both man-made and natural elements that make it an excellent option for all types of vessels.

Good access to the Solent and close to the shops. The maintenance facilities are also good especially Scott and the team at 1 degree west. For short term visitors, there is a good friendly cafe bar, serving decent pub grub and breakfasts. Above the bar one of the best curry houses in pompey, well worth a go.

On a warm, sunny day it is just great to sit quayside, and look at the boats in the harbour, spot mullet swimming , and maybe other fish as well. There is a nice selection of restaurants to complete the day Have a wander towards the beach, just outside the lock gates is another small harbour, where you may well see seals.

Wow, although one of the busiest marinas in the UK it's all very organized When the sun is shining, there's not a better place to have breakfast to set you up for the day.
