Hanstholm Harbor is one of Denmark's largest fishing ports and houses Denmark's largest fish auction, which sells more than 40,000 tones of edible fish every year.
In order to ensure the port's continued development, in recent years there has been a need for a major upgrade of the port's facilities, and therefore since 2017 the Port of Hanstholm has undergone a major port expansion to the tune of DKK 650 million, which has added new outer piers, increased water depth, more quay area, an additional harbor basin and a large hinterland area.
The Port of Hanstholm is currently on a major growth journey, where the vision is to become Denmark's leading port in the trade, processing and breeding of fish - and at the same time Europe's first CO2-neutral fishing port.

Hobro Fiskeriforening is an association that takes care of business, leisure and angling, as well as small dinghies and boaters' interests in boating.
The association operates Hobro Boats and Fishing Harbor with 68 boat seats, a room where members of the association can meet. There are sheds that can be rented for storage.

The marina is a municipal port located in the Vesthimmerland municipality in Lounshalvøen, where the waters between Himmerland and Salling are smaller.
The port is affiliated with the Freeport Scheme.
There are about 175 places that you rent one year at a time, however you have priority for a spot the following year. This means that you cannot count on having a specific place, but you get another if the Technical Administration deems it appropriate. The port of Sillerslev has previously been a private port, but in 1992 the municipality of Morsø took over the port and a modern marina was established. In the port, you will find one of the best bathing beaches on the island, a cosy cafeteria and a children's playground. Fresh mussels are still landed in one part of the port.

The yacht club and its areas have been continuously renovated over the last few years with new bridges and electric poles everywhere. Thisted Sailing Club has a FREE, powerful and working wireless internet connection, several good barbecue areas and a small playground.
