Forecast Updates - Why getting the latest forecast is such a big deal

Real time weather patterns change rapidly, so getting the latest forecast is a must. We know this and have added a new feature so that you can see when your forecasts were generated and when they will next be updated.

Now on our forecast website the time until the next update is displayed in the toolbar on the left just under the current location. The time until the next forecast is shown to the nearest hour, for example “Next Update In 6 Hours.” If the user hovers their mouse cursor over the display a pop out to the right gives the exact time the last PWC and PWG forecasts were generated and when the new ones will be available.

In the PredictWind Offshore App’s download section check when each forecast was released by clicking the ‘Check’ button next to each of the different forecasts. Each forecast will be updated every 12 hours.

In the PredictWind iOS and Android apps the time until the next forecast update is shown in a blue drop down that displays for a few seconds when a forecast is loaded or refreshed. For example the dropdown will display “Next Update In 5 Hours” so if you check back in 5 hours you’ll have access to the most current forecast.
