Located in gorgeous Brentwood Bay, Portside Marina was first opened in 1927 by Harry Gilbert as Gilbert's Boathouse. Saanich Inlet was a premier fishing location and at the age of 13, Harry's son, Jim Gilbert, started guiding and went on to become an acclaimed fishing guide. Canadian Prime Ministers John Diefenbaker and Lester B. Pearson (pictured above, sitting) have fished here. Today, the inlet
